$9K Was Spent on Pixelmon NFTS, Then the Art Was Released

What was intended to be the Pokemon of NFT games turned out to be a epic disappointment.

Pixelmon had high hopes as it was introduced to the world as an open-world RPG where Pixelmon creatures are caught, trades and sold as nonfungile-tokens (NFTs) and as 2021 came to a close it had built incredible momentum.

At that time, Pixelmon NFT holders were given land whihc they could use to create digital living spaces or setup a shop as one of the in-game merchants.

Developers of the game raised $70 million via a collection of 10,000 Pixelmon NFTs sold during the month of February, but the project has since hit a roadblock of sorts.

Following their impressive fund raise, the Pixelmon team unveiled the art, and the reaction on social media made Pixelmon the butt of a joke.
